The best views of Tübingen are from the Eberhardsbrücke (Bridge) that spans the River Neckar between the station and the old town. From here, the interesting riverbank as well as the old town and castle can be seen. Note the yellow riverside building with a small tower and turret. This is the Hölderlinhaus (Hölderlin named after the popular German poet Friedrich Hölderlin, left. He became schizophrenic and lived here from 1807 until his death in 1843. It now houses a museum dedicated to Hölderlin and his work.
